Dr. Irfan Uddin is currently working as Assistant Professor at the college of Computer and Information Systems at Al-Yamamah University (YU). He is program coordinator of Programming and Databases. He has received his education from Pakistan and the Netherlands in Computer Science at University of Peshawar and University of Amsterdam. Since 2004 he is involved in teaching and research at different places. He has served at academic positions in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He has worked as researcher in the Netherlands and Italy in EU funded projects and currently part of research groups in Pakistan. His research topics include; many-core systems, simulation of computer systems, design space exploration, big data technologies, distributed and cloud computing. He has been involved in organising national and international seminars/workshops/conferences. He is member of IEEE, ACM and HiPEAC. He has reviewed and published various research papers in refereed international journals and conferences.
